What we've been up to

We have enjoyed every moment of Lucas' first three months. He is smiling and cooing all the time now! For the 4th of July, we went to Destin with Kevin's parents, Jenny and Gary and Kevin's cousin's girlfriend, Shannan. We had such a great time and Lucas is quite the little traveler. He had a couple of firsts on the trip as well. First, we took him in the swimming pool for the first time. I'm not quite sure what he thought of it as we had a little trouble keeping him awake! I think he was just a little shocked. Also, on the last night of our stay, we took him down to the beach and dipped his feet in the ocean. He didn't really have too much of a reaction to that either. We'll have to do it again when he actually knows what's going on and can show us some excitement! It was still fun to share those experiences with him. As for normal days, he is working on developing his stomach muscles. We have a little tummy time everyday and he also spends time sitting in his bumbo. He is getting so strong! He has started pulling himself up when he is laying on Kevin or I. As for nighttime, he goes to bed about eleven and most nights will sleep till around seven! Every once in a while he will get me up once in the middle of the night. He's not too much of a napper either. He usually just takes little cat naps here and there. Needless to say, it gets creative around here when trying to entertain him all day! I wouldn't have it any other way though! Check back for more updates and be sure to check out our pictures.
