Lucas and I went to Applebees on Saturday with my friend Jill and her daughter Stephanie. He was sitting on my lap and reached for my finger and pulled it into his mouth. This is a normal occurrence, but it's what happened next that was a surprise! Suddenly I felt something razor sharp and withdrew my finger! It was at that moment that we discovered Lucas' first tooth! When we got home, Kevin and I were able to get a peek at the tiny tooth poking through on the bottom gum in the front and a little on the left side. I think he may be cutting the one next to it as well as he has been a little fussy. He is being such a trooper through it all! Our little man is growing up!
Well, I hope I haven't lost too many readers. I have good intentions of blogging. I guess I'm still figuring out what to write about.
Lucas is now four months old and is 25.5 inches tall and weighs 15 lbs. 2 oz. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. Not sure where he got that from! He did pretty well with this round of shots and the doctor told us we could start him on solid foods (rice cereal). We tried it last Sunday morning, but he really wasn't a big fan. We will be trying again this weekend as this week he hasn't really felt all that great. Another milestone he has reached is that he has rolled over from the back to the front! The first time he did it was for his daddy while mommy was in the shower! I was so upset! He has since done it for me so I feel a little better. :)
I promise to write more often. Here are the pics from Lucas' first rice cereal feeding and when he rolled over for me the first time!
